Hello,

I am trying to extend my Kivik sofa with a chaise lounge. Unfortunately, I’m having trouble removing the screws/threaded rods from the armrest. The manual only states that you need to remove the armrest...

These are the parts I mean:

Small black mounting plate with central opening and four metal pins on rough concrete floor.

Metal threaded bolt with square base plate on light surface

Does anyone have advice on how to remove them without causing damage?

Regards,
Philipp

Hello,
unscrew it. If it can’t be done by hand, use pliers. Of course, only apply them where the thread can be damaged. Alternatively, screw on a nut, then a second one after that, lock them against each other, and then use an open-end wrench on the inner nut to turn it out.

Locknut, of course! *doh*

Thanks!
