Hello everyone,

Yesterday, the excavation contractor was working at my site... I noticed the following:

See attachment.

Question: Can the transition to the zinc gutter stay like this?

I will remove the sand... there will still be waterproofing applied behind it.

Metal downpipe connecting to orange PVC pipe in the ground next to a brick wall, covered with sand.

Gray metal drainpipe next to an orange PVC protective sleeve at the building site of a brick wall.

The key decision is how much the ground level will be raised during the final site grading. In other words, how much fill will be added?

I heard something about 40cm (16 inches).... I need to check that again.

Usually, there is a galvanized collar on the gutter. Yours is missing.

After paving, the PVC drain pipe can be cut to the correct height and the collar slipped down.

Thanks a lot!

Could you please send a photo of it?
