After purchasing the house (single-family home, built in 1975), we plan to replace the old gas burner "Viessmann Duo Parola e" with a modern gas condensing boiler. Additionally, we will replace 3 radiators and some heating pipes.

Now the question arises whether a KFW subsidy (7.5%) for an individual measure like this even makes sense? According to the KFW website, an energy consultant must be hired to oversee the entire process and submit the applications, if I have understood correctly? Since the energy consultant also has to be paid, even with the BAFA subsidy, is a KFW subsidy really worthwhile? Doesn’t the subsidy get eaten up by the consultant’s fee and make the whole thing unprofitable? We estimate the replacement costs to be around 8,000 to 10,000 euros.

Has anyone had experience with whether a KFW subsidy is actually worth it?

Thanks in advance.
