BadumbauDear forum members,
I hope someone can help me. I urgently need advice from a professional.
Yesterday, I stood on my new Kaldewei Superplan shower tray measuring 100 x 120 x 2.5 cm (39 x 47 x 1 inch) for the first time.
I installed it myself with a friend on a shower tray foot frame FR 5300. It was aligned precisely according to the level… I was really looking forward to it.
Previously, a plumbing company tried three times but failed to install the shower tray correctly, so I decided to do it myself.
Not least because I no longer wanted to ask the plumber for corrections – I get along well with the plumber, who has always helped me quickly and well with the heating system, but the shower tray just didn’t work out.
Now when I stand on it, I hear noises (creaking?) at the outer corner, and it rocks slightly (max 1–2 mm (0.04–0.08 inch)) up and down. The other corners have no problems.
Luckily, I haven’t tiled yet, only filled the screed around the shower tray.
Underneath the tray, it is hollow except for a cardboard piece about 35 x 35 cm (14 x 14 inch) in the middle, which the plumber filled with foam.
What can be done now to stop the creaking and rocking?
How can I find a professional in or around Hannover with experience installing Kaldewei Superplan shower trays?
Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Mempner!
This bathtub is not made of acrylic but of steel!!! However, it is only 3.5 mm (0.14 inches) thick. With dimensions of 100 x 120 cm (39 x 47 inches), that's not very much... It is really extremely unstable...
Today, we placed the tub on aerated concrete blocks and flexible tile adhesive... Tomorrow I will see how it turned out...
