Hello everyone,

Our plumbing supplier offered us the two systems Judo isoft-Safe and Grünbeck softliq sd21 at nearly the same price.
I found some negative reviews about the Judo system, and of course a few about the Grünbeck as well, but overall noticeably fewer. However, I couldn't find any information about the average maintenance costs.
From your point of view, is one of these two systems more recommendable?

We are building a 160m² (1,722 sq ft) single-family home in the outskirts of Berlin and there are 4 of us living there. Our total water consumption is average but relatively irregular: on weekdays it tends to be low, while on weekends the washing machine often runs several times and one bathroom is usually in use.

Thanks in advance!

I would almost say that the SD21 is oversized, as it is designed for 1-9 people.

The SD18 is meant for 1-4 people and should actually be sufficient.

That may be the case. We are not sure because the Grünbeck system regulates itself, and there might be issues with fluctuating withdrawal volumes.

Does anyone have experience with the Judo system?

We have a Grünbeck SC18 for currently 2 people. Our monthly water consumption is about 4–7 m³ (141–247 cubic feet). Maintenance is scheduled for sometime next year.

We have the Judo system in operation and have had no problems so far; however, it has only been running for just under a year.

Thanks to everyone. After careful consideration, it will be the SD18.
