ᐅ Is this a sealing tape intended for water protection?

I want to replace an outdoor water tap. I have a tape in my inventory that has no clear labeling. I couldn’t find the product name online.

Is it a sealing tape used to seal the tap on the threaded pipe connection?
If so, how many wraps should I apply around the threads?

I have no idea if it’s intended for water use, but considering the tape is at least 19 years old, I would generally avoid using it. Sealing tape can become brittle over time if stored improperly and therefore fail to serve its intended purpose.
