Hello everyone,

our house is finally starting to take shape. The roof framework, roofing underlay, and battens are all in place; only the tiles are missing.

Since last night, it has been raining moderately, with no wind. In several spots, water is dripping along the rafters, causing puddles on the oriented strand board (OSB) floor in the attic.

Is this normal? Or does the carpenter need to come back and fix it?

Thanks in advance and best regards

Yes, we are already working on this issue with our building consultant.
The carpenter has now made corrections twice. Our spray test today still resulted in puddles.
Initially, everyone said it had to be watertight, but that view seems to be changing gradually: does it have to be completely watertight or just reasonably so? Opinions are starting to differ on this.
The membranes themselves are watertight. We have finally pinpointed the exact points of penetration: various joints around the roof windows. However, at another house at the same stage of construction, we noticed today that you can even see the sky through these spots.
Let’s see how this develops.
