Frank354401 Mar 2015 11:02We have received a new window and a sliding door to the balcony, and we suspect that the craftsman may have made a mistake. On the fixed half of the window, the glass does not cover the entire surface inside the window frame. Instead, the glass is "extended" by a roughly 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) wide plastic strip.
The craftsman claims this must be the case because the roller shutter is divided in the middle. However, it actually looks as if the window width was measured incorrectly and the missing glass area was "extended" with the plastic strip.
Does anyone have experience with this? Could the craftsman be right, or is this a patch job?
The color of the plastic strip is still brown on the inside (first photo). Here, the craftsman has already admitted that this is wrong and that he will replace it with a strip that is white on the inside.
