A very good evening to ladies and gentlemen!

1. Today, the two single-lever concealed-mixer valve sets (Ideal Standard A5948NU) were installed for our washbasin, see picture.

Construction wall installation: Geberit flush cistern on the right, red pipes, blue shut-off valves.

2. My wife is left-handed, and we are wondering if it is possible to rotate the left concealed single-lever mixer valve set by 180 degrees without

2.1 the exposed single-lever faucet then facing upwards or needing to face upwards

and without

2.2 the hot and cold sides being swapped?

Could someone kindly explain this to me?

Best regards and wishing you a relaxed week

The control lever is intended to be on the right side. It is already installed concealed in the wall that way. You can’t just turn it around. I also can’t imagine that there is a faucet designed specifically for left-handed users.

Politely explain to the lady that a single-lever mixer can also be operated with the right hand. Otherwise, you can reach over it with the left hand. You get used to it eventually. It takes some time—I had the same issue. The control lever is on the left side, and I am right-handed.

Of course, you can rotate the concealed valve completely, but that also changes the lever action. If the lever is supposed to point downwards like yours, then you would have to push to open and pull to close. Who wants that?

I would ask the supplier of the valve. You have only installed the concealed part for now.

Thank you @hanghaus2000
Yes, that doesn’t make any sense.
We’ll leave it as it is.

Have a nice Sunday!
