Michael_Etna30 Apr 2021 15:50Hello,
our apartment was completely renovated. As part of this, all the windows were replaced and the interior walls were replastered afterwards.
Since I would like to do the painting work myself, I am now wondering if an acrylic sealant joint needs to be applied around the interior window frame, or if this is usually done.
The plaster fits perfectly against the window frame, so there is basically no visible joint. The windows are partly made of wood and partly of uPVC. The reveal areas were partially covered with Fermacell boards and partially with drywall panels before being plastered.
Thank you,

If you prefer it that way, you can do it.

No! Why do you want to do that?It was a question about whether it’s done, I never said I wanted to do it! I’m a complete beginner, and sometimes there are things you just do (for a good reason, of course), or you don’t.

If you prefer the look, though, you can certainly do it. Alright, thank you very much 🙂
So the risk of cracks forming here is lower than between the wall and the drywall ceiling?
