Hello,

I would like to learn more about the communication between the fire department and the building control authorities. For example, when the plans for the building permit / planning permission are submitted to the building control authority.
1. How do the building control authorities receive feedback from the fire safety authority?
2. What are the requirements of the fire safety authority?
3. How do they calculate, for example, the escape route?
4. How is the documentation flow managed from the building control authorities to other agencies, such as the municipality or fire department?

I believe this is not the right forum for your questions. The requirements vary not only between the federal states but also the procedures involving the authorities differ significantly from one municipality to another within the same state.

What are you expecting? Even if a professional firefighter who writes building regulation assessments were present here, you would only get information about the process for that particular authority.

You either initiate a mass inquiry with all building permit / planning permission authorities for statistical analysis, or you contact selected municipalities directly for example descriptions of the different procedures.

For an academic paper, referencing the house building forum alone will not be sufficient as a source. If you want useful answers, follow Escroda’s suggestion: have several municipalities provide you with an example description of their local process.
