Hello!
I’m currently renovating a house from the 1960s and have the following question.
During the renovation, I noticed that the exterior walls are all plastered with 3.5cm (1.4 inches) of Heraklith.
That’s fine, Heraklith is not a problem in itself, but now the question is whether it makes sense to keep this “internal insulation” when renovating or to remove it...?
And if I decide to keep the Heraklith, what kind of external insulation would you recommend?
By the way, to add some context, the masonry is made of hollow clay blocks (red) with a wall thickness of 25cm (10 inches), also from the 1960s.
Thanks in advance for your answers!
