Hi, I want to install laminate flooring that I have already purchased, and I would like to know if a 1cm (0.4 inch) gap from the walls to allow for expansion is sufficient, or if I should leave more space. I believe the baseboards will only cover about 1cm (0.4 inch) from the wall, so if there is more than 1cm (0.4 inch) of space, the floor might be visible at first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Always consider the direction of incoming light. The long side of the hallway should always run parallel to the main source of light.
