ᐅ Install electrical connection for the garage door opener

Hello everyone,

We are currently working on the electrical installation and now want to install the connection for the garage door opener.

We are wondering if it is possible to mount the motor and the frame of the sectional door directly onto the slope of the garage roof, so that we don’t block the space in front of the half loft above the garage.

Unfortunately, we haven’t found any satisfactory information on this so far.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is it even possible?

I have experienced this before in a rental property. So basically, it seems possible. Whether it works for you... just ask the supplier. And I would check if the subfloor can bear the load.

That's exactly what I'm trying to find out, since we haven't chosen a manufacturer or supplier yet [emoji6]

Well, I guess I'll have to inquire with all sorts of companies then...
