Since we’re not talking about 5-euro vouchers here, a healthy dose of skepticism is normal and even wise. Think about the typical stories of grandmothers and their missing grandchildren. 😎 How are you going to prove that the amount has actually been credited onto the voucher? And how can you be sure that you’ll really receive the money from the trustworthy buyer to whom you send the voucher in advance?
The safest option would be to meet at Ikea. There, in the presence of the buyer, you can check the card’s balance at the checkout and, I believe, have it printed out. Then the handover takes place and everyone is happy.
