Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me. I bought a Brimnes bed 180x200cm (71x79 inches) with a Luröy slatted frame 2x90cm (2x35 inches). However, since both are actually 90.5cm (36 inches) wide and not just 90cm (35 inches), they don’t fit side by side in the bed frame.

What was Ikea thinking? If I place them side by side in the bed frame, they do rest on the central support beam, but not against the side metal rail. I guess the only solution is to cut the slatted frame smaller with a hand saw...

I’d be very grateful for any helpful tips. What would you do?

Best regards, Max

Hello, using a tape measure along the curve, it should be 90.5 cm (36 inches); the direct distance from one end of the slat to the other should be 90 cm (35.5 inches). If it is more, claim a replacement for the slatted frame. Otherwise, measure whether Brimnes has an internal distance of 180 cm (71 inches).
