Hello everyone,
I recently fitted my kitchen with Ikea Metod tall cabinets and am now facing the challenge of using the storage space as efficiently as possible. My question is: How can I optimize the storage in Ikea Metod tall cabinets to achieve maximum visibility and accessibility without having to constantly reorganize?
I am especially interested in which internal fittings are useful, how to best arrange the shelves, and which organizational aids are recommended. My goal is to avoid often unused corners and to store all items so they are easily accessible.
Looking forward to your tips and experiences!

I even claim that without internal pull-outs, you are not utilizing the full potential of your tall cabinets.I agree, but I would like to add: internal pull-outs also mean that the entire depth of the cabinet can be better used because you can really place items all the way at the back. However, it is important not to forget to consider the load and weight limits of the drawers.
A common mistake is to overfill internal pull-outs, which quickly reduces their usefulness. It is better to place fewer items, but in a systematic and well-organized way.
Finally, you should pay attention to the quality of the pull-outs. Cheap models from accessory ranges often do not fit well with Metod and can discolor or jam.
I use 40 cm (16 inches) deep tall cabinets with two levels. At the bottom, there are sturdy shelves for heavy pots, and above, adjustable shelves for food storage. I don’t use internal drawers but rather pull-out baskets. This way, I can quickly access everything without having to search for a long time.
