My specific question is: How can I design and build the METOD kitchen cabinets to meet safety requirements for small children while keeping the kitchen practical for everyday use? I am particularly interested in measures to prevent pinch points, sharp edges, and uncontrolled access to hazardous areas like the stove or cleaning supply cabinets.

I would also add that it is extremely helpful to observe how the child behaves in the kitchen during the first few months. This way, you can add safety measures exactly where they are really needed in everyday life.
Don’t stress too much, safety is important, but a bit of supervision ultimately replaces a lot.
