Hello, does anyone have experience with the mattress topper Sultan Tolg? I would like to use the 180 x 200 cm (71 x 79 inches) version to cover the gap between two 90 cm (35 inch) mattresses. I have read about Tolg mattresses having a bad odor in English-speaking forums. Also, the price of 339 seems quite high. Is it worth it?

In other countries, there might have been a faulty batch, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the same for Germany. It is probably a different manufacturer and a different production batch. So if there is an issue, it would likely affect only another country.
For example:
A BMW is built in Germany, but it takes some time until it reaches, for instance, the UK—considering customs and shipping, I’d say about 14 days. By that time, news of any problem would likely have already spread in other countries like Germany. So the issue would probably be detected before delivery.
It’s similar with the cushions. We in Germany receive deliveries slightly faster. That’s why the problem is probably location-specific, for example related to storage after delivery.
I think you can confidently buy the cushion. Besides, you have plenty of time to ‘break it in.’ If you’re not satisfied within 3 months, you can return it without any issues. Ikea recently advertised a 90-day trial sleep period, after all.
Best regards, Maverick1854
