Hello everyone,

We have installed an IKEA siphon (Lillviken) in our new kitchen as shown in the attachment. At point (1), the drain for the small basin of a HÄLLVIKEN sink is connected, as well as the dishwasher’s wastewater. At point (2), the main basin’s drain is connected.

Now we have the problem that water backs up in the main basin. As soon as we slightly loosen the connection to the wastewater pipe (4), the water drains immediately. All pipes are clear; it seems like a vacuum is forming, preventing the water from draining properly. The (Conel) pipe vent (5) should actually prevent this.

Currently, we assume that the connector piece (3) is causing the problem. Has anyone had similar experiences and knows what can be done? Thanks in advance!
