Option 2 is correct (see the drawer carcass instructions, p. 9). Please double-check the attachment of the fronts; I suspect you need to rotate them 180°. The marking on the inside center of the front must face the bottom of the drawer.

Thank you, I was quite sure I had already tried this option as well, but now it looks good!!

I thought the hole was a pilot hole for the buttons.
