Hello!
We are about to install our front door and I wanted to ask about the current price range. Aluminum front door with a glass side panel, gray on the outside and white on the inside. Our initial quotes are between 4300 and 5000 euros gross – including installation. Is that realistic or overpriced?
Thank you!

A flush-fitting panel for an aluminum front door has always been more expensive than the version with an inset panel.
At the manufacturer, I always have one extra work step, namely bonding the outer shell and possibly the inner shell.
When buying a door, pay attention to a warp-resistant door leaf; this is especially important for large and dark panels, which may also be installed on the south side.

A full overlay panel on an aluminum front door has always been more expensive than the version with an insert panel.I didn’t say or mean anything else; it’s just that aluminum doors didn’t exist back then, so it was the other way around, as the door manufacturer explained to me. And because this has been historically established, the full overlay option is also more expensive with PVC doors today than it was back when it was still the cheaper option.
