Hello everyone,

We are now (hopefully) in the final phase of the floor plan design, ...except for the fireplace.

We want a (closed) gas fireplace that will primarily serve as a design feature.

Since the house will be operated with a heat pump and there is no gas connection on the property, a tank will be buried in the garden.

We have already spoken with two fireplace installers, who have carefully reviewed the current plan and offered some nice solutions.

The problem is, neither of them is willing to disclose any price information. On the internet, you often find the phrase “price on request.”

I understand that it is difficult to give an exact figure during the planning phase, but a rough estimate should be possible (5,000 - 10,000 or 15,000) (The flue gas extraction will be charged separately by the fireplace installer and is not included in the house price).

The combustion chamber should be from “Faber” or “Kal-Fire,” 90cm (35 inches), viewable from three sides. (This is not meant as advertising, but these companies seem to offer the most suitable products for our requirements.)

Maybe someone also knows an approximate cost for a 2,800-liter (740-gallon) gas tank, including burying it on site.

Best regards
