Hello everyone, I am currently planning the setup of my Pax wardrobe and wondering how to best distribute the weight on the shelves to ensure they remain stable over time and do not bend or get damaged. Specifically, I am interested in the following: Should heavier luggage or items generally be placed on the lower shelves, or is it better to distribute the weight evenly across all shelves? Are there any recommendations regarding the maximum load per shelf and how much weight can be concentrated in specific areas? What role does the shelf mounting itself play in weight distribution? I look forward to your experiences or well-informed tips, so I can make a good decision and ensure the wardrobe lasts even after long-term use.

From my own experience, I can only say: Load the lower shelves as heavily as possible to make the whole structure more stable! 🙂

In this case, it’s really better to distribute the weight evenly rather than placing it all on a small area! With my Pax, I regularly have up to 30kg (66 lbs) per shelf without any bending.

Tip: If you have heavy boxes, put them on the lower shelves and use lighter items on the upper ones. This way, the cabinet stays stable and lasts longer. That’s the best practice I can recommend! It has proven to be very effective.
