ᐅ How much are the notary fees for drafting the purchase agreement?

Hello, the notary fees for purchasing a property are generally known to be 1.5% (notary fees) plus 0.5% (land registry fee). However, in the first step, the notary only drafts a contract. How much do the costs for this draft amount to? These are included later in the total 1.5% notary fees and do not increase that percentage. But it would be possible to walk away from the purchase after the draft is prepared.

You need to know what you are signing beforehand. Negotiating everything with the notary is not practical. At the notary appointment, the documents are only read aloud and signed.

I have encountered unacceptable clauses in a contract in a similar situation before. I didn’t pay anything then, as the clauses were from the seller.

I haven’t signed anything yet. As the buyer, I received a document from the real estate agent outlining the key details of the purchase. I’m supposed to sign this and give it to the notary so they can prepare a contract draft. It also notes that I will be responsible for the notary fees for the draft, even if the purchase does not ultimately go through.

What I find interesting is that it states the purchase will be partially financed. What if I decide not to finance it and pay out of pocket instead? Could that have any legal consequences?
