Hello everyone,

I would like to know the best way to clean the surfaces of Malm furniture without affecting the typical matte finish or causing the surface to lose its shine. I understand that harsh cleaning products or improper care methods can negatively impact the appearance of Malm surfaces, but I am looking for an effective method that preserves the condition and visual appeal over time. If you have any recommendations on which products or cleaning procedures work particularly well for Malm, that would be very helpful. I am especially interested in whether there are any special home remedies or if the IKEA care instructions are sufficient.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the detailed tips so far.

The importance of microfiber cloths, pH-neutral cleaners, and immediate drying has been mentioned several times. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a specific product brand that has proven effective. With so many cleaners available on the market, the selection is quite large.

Furthermore, what are your thoughts on using household remedies like vinegar or citric acid? These do have some grease-cutting properties but are acidic. Could these substances potentially damage surfaces in the long term, or is occasional use generally not a problem?

Looking forward to your opinions.
