Hello,
we are soon going to completely renovate our basement and are already looking for wallpapers. I keep coming across the term "VLIES" (non-woven) wallpapers. But what exactly are they, and what advantages do these wallpapers have compared to regular embossed paper wallpapers?

Thanks for your answers

Hello Tomcat,

I’ll tell you just one thing: once you’ve worked with non-woven wallpaper, you’ll never want anything else! 😀 First of all, it’s much more durable and doesn’t tear. You don’t need to apply paste to the wallpaper or have it booked in. Basically, depending on the surface, you can apply the paste directly to the wall, start at the top with the roller, and get going – this method is even recommended by the manufacturer. Also, it’s very easy to remove without the annoying small bits you get with traditional wallpaper. 🙂

Best regards

Hi,
my brother had his living room done with non-woven wallpaper like that, and it looks really great. He said that it can be peeled off again and that it should leave no residue. But since everything is still new, I can’t say for sure if it really works that way. Only when he no longer wants it will it become clear if it’s really that easy to remove.
