Hello everyone, I recently noticed an issue with my IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets: some of the doors and side panels have damage such as small dents, paint chips, and slight warping. Since I want to get the kitchen fully functional and looking good again quickly, I’m wondering what the best and fastest way to repair these kinds of damages is. Are there simple tools, materials, or techniques that can be used directly at home without having to replace entire parts? I’m especially interested in proven repair methods for the veneer and which products work well to keep the repair as inconspicuous as possible. Thanks in advance for your tips!

I recommend special repair waxes or repair kits designed for melamine or laminate in such cases. Thanks for the tip! That sounds very interesting, especially since I also have Metod fronts at home.
I’m also curious about how much experience you or others here have had with these waxes. Do they really hold up well in everyday use, for example with wear and tear in the kitchen (moisture, rubbing), or do they tend to come off fairly quickly?
I’m attracted by the idea of a quick yet durable solution, especially since, like me, you’re not usually doing DIY work at home every day.
