Hello everyone,

I am currently planning to install my IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets on a sloped ceiling and would like to know the most effective and safe way to do this. Specifically, I have the following questions:

- What types of fasteners and materials are recommended for secure mounting on a slope?
- How can I compensate for possible unevenness and varying angles in the sloped ceiling?
- Are there any special adjustment techniques or additional components for Metod kitchens that I should consider to integrate the slope cleanly and aesthetically?

I have decent DIY skills but want to avoid common beginner mistakes as much as possible. I would appreciate practical tips and experiences since I have mostly worked with straight walls until now.

Thanks in advance!

To address this question more specifically: IKEA offers some special adjustment profiles for Metod, such as angled trims and cover caps, which can be used to create a visually appealing transition along a sloped ceiling. If you have framed fronts, you might also consider modifying the doors afterward (trimming or beveling the stiles) to better fit the angle.

Additionally, when assembling, use the connector fittings with elongated holes to allow more adjustment, which makes aligning the cabinets much easier.

Finally, I would recommend doing a dry assembly before the final installation. This way, you can temporarily put all parts together without screws to check how everything lines up.

If you have more precise measurements, I can also assist with calculating the cutting dimensions.
