Hello everyone, I am currently planning my new kitchen using Ikea Metod kitchen units and have a specific issue: I only have a relatively small space available, but I want to maximize the storage capacity as much as possible.

I am especially interested in how to best plan and assemble the Metod kitchen units to create the most storage space for pots, pans, dishes, and groceries without making the room feel crowded or impractical. Are there any particular tips based on experience regarding module selection, cabinet heights, or clever interior fittings?

Perhaps someone has good experience with corner solutions, tall cabinets, or pull-out drawers and can explain the whole installation process. I would appreciate any advice on how to make the most efficient use of the space!

Really exciting discussion here! I love how many tips have already been shared!

I also want to say: don’t hesitate to try extreme solutions! Tall cabinets up to the ceiling with fully extendable internal drawers – I just love that! 😊 And don’t worry, IKEA Metod is very flexible and can be customized in many ways.

Open shelves for items you use frequently also add a lot of energy and motivate me while working in the kitchen.

So, keep your chin up, measure carefully, plan well, and then get started – you’ve got this! 💪
