Hello everyone, I am planning to install Ikea Metod kitchen cabinets in my small apartment, but I have very limited space available. This already presents some challenges, especially regarding the stability of the constructions. My specific question is: How can I build and secure Ikea Metod cabinets in a tight space so that they remain stable and safe under load? Are there any special installation tips, reinforcements, or alternative construction methods that have proven effective? I would appreciate practical advice, as I don’t have structural engineering experts on site and rely on tips from people who have done this before.

This makes the structure stiffer. Using plywood or solid wood panels as inserts in the cabinets also significantly strengthens the construction. The wall mounting must definitely be done into load-bearing masonry and not just into drywall panels. If installation on drywall walls is unavoidable, it is recommended to use special anchors designed for high loads.
