Hello everyone,

I am looking for large-format floor tiles measuring 60x120 cm (24x47 inches) with a concrete look in gray.

During my search, I came across the Hometec Graphit 60x120 cm (24x47 inches) tiles. (Posting links is not allowed, right?)

Has anyone had experience with this series from Hornbach? Are the tiles any good? The price is quite tempting... don’t get me wrong, I am not looking for something cheap and low quality. However, in specialist stores, my selected tiles cost around 60–70 € per square meter, while here they are 35 € per square meter, and I really like these tiles best.

I would appreciate any experiences or opinions. What would you do?

Thank you

Best regards

Planning to do the tiling yourself? We bought most of our tiles for the entire house partially from OBI; after purchasing, we showed them to the tiler. Some models were rejected, exchanged, and replaced with tiles from a specialist supplier (with about a 20% discount through the tiler). The tiles approved by the tiler from OBI were simply white with a subtle texture and were reduced to €20/m² (about $20/sq ft), previously around €35/m² (about $35/sq ft). The specialist supplier’s tiles were not much more expensive (with the discount) but were consistently approved by the tiler. The OBI tiles not approved were sometimes not perfectly straight, and the edges did not meet the professional’s standards. From our experience, it is definitely possible to find bargains and save compared to a specialist shop, but as a layperson, it can be difficult to tell the difference between good and poor-quality tiles. At least that was our experience. I should add that the tiles rejected by the professional were really cheap (reduced to €10/m² (about $10/sq ft), previously around €22/m² (about $22/sq ft)). Even in hardware stores, there are tiles that are a bit pricier and of better quality without costing as much as €70/m² (about $70/sq ft).
