I hope someone can help us. For new constructions, a leak test of the underground pipes is mandatory. Usually, this should be done after the piping is installed, using compressed air. Now our house is almost finished, and we are about to move in. Neither our civil engineer, who installed the piping for the house, nor the site manager thought about the leak test.
Companies we contacted to perform the leak test said that testing with air at this late stage is no longer possible because too many pipes are already installed, and there will always be at least one leak when using only compressed air for the test. What now? Could this cause problems during the building inspection / final approval? We don’t know what to do anymore...
