Hello, with our recently installed glass roof made of 8mm laminated safety glass (VSG), I noticed that one of the panes is missing the top layer of glass at a corner (about 1cm x 3cm / 0.4 inches x 1.2 inches). The bottom pane is completely intact. I asked the glazier about this, and he said this is normal and happens quite often when the panes break.

My concern is that the seal between the interlayer and the panes might not be properly sealed there. Also, I find it hard to believe that this is normal.

I would appreciate any advice on whether this is a defect or if I am being too particular!

Thank you in advance…

Hello,

if the window pane is broken, it needs to be replaced. Where is there any doubt about that? 😕
