So far, I have mainly dealt with the traditional method – the garden hose. But apart from the fact that it can sometimes be quite cumbersome, I also don’t think it’s as efficient as, for example, an irrigation system. And from what I have seen, irrigation systems don’t even have to be expensive. There are already flower pots with water reservoirs – which, in my opinion, are also part of such a system.

Hi sennor

The best option for watering plants is, of course, using rainwater. They prefer to be watered in the evening or early in the morning.

Hi,

There are quite a few methods, that’s true. For example, hand watering, overhead irrigation, drip irrigation, subsurface irrigation, and more. It depends on the type of plants and the size of the growing area.

Hi,

I think no matter which irrigation method you choose, you should collect and use rainwater. It is much better for the plants than tap water, and it helps save water, which is becoming increasingly scarce worldwide, especially in southern regions.

Hi,

watering is really a very important topic when it comes to plants. Choosing the right method saves both effort and water. Water is one of the most valuable resources on Earth, if not the most important! You should neither overwater nor underwater to ensure the plants receive optimal care.

Always keep in mind that the soil around the plants needs to be loosened regularly so water can reach the roots more quickly. A hoe is the right tool for this. Watering too much at once can hinder oxygen distribution in the soil. If you water too little, the plants dry out, die, or at least become weakened.
