Hello everyone,
I visited a landscaping company today, and they told me about separation stations. Apparently, since 2021 it is only allowed to water gardens with a separation station when building new properties.
Until now, I knew that, for example, outdoor taps can be connected directly to the water supply near a toilet or sink.
What are your thoughts on this?
I don’t like the separation station (with a pump): electricity costs, maintenance...

What kind of toilet tank connection?
Outdoor taps usually have an air admittance valve or backflow preventer. This is a completely standard drinking water installation (see rick2018).
So, once again, the question: What kind of installation do you mean?I once read that the outdoor tap pipe line should best be installed in a loop or directly at a point where water flows frequently (supply line for toilet cistern, kitchen, etc.). Only in this way is water circulation ensured, preventing bacteria from developing in the water.I

It doesn’t matter where you place the separator. You branch off where it’s most practical.
Just don’t declare it as drinking water or let it run for a while.
In the past, we also drank from the garden hose and survived. I want to build without a separator. The question is whether it is mandatory for new buildings (from 2021 onward).
