ᐅ Funding from BAFA for Ground Source Heat Pumps – Should You Wait for the Official Approval First?

I am new here and have a question.
I have been calling BAFA all the time, but unfortunately, all employees are always busy on the phone. That’s why I’m asking you in case anyone knows.
I have already applied for BAFA funding and received a response with an application number. It says that they have received my application and that I should wait for the official notification from BAFA. However, the drilling company wants to start drilling in 1-2 weeks, so I wanted to ask: am I allowed to start drilling before receiving the BAFA notification, or is that not allowed? I remember that I should not purchase the pump without the BAFA notification, but I don’t know if drilling beforehand is permitted. Maybe someone has experience?

You can start. The only important thing is that the application has been submitted before you sign the contract.

Oh! That doesn’t fit unfortunately, I just checked again. I signed the contract with the drilling company in October 2017, but the application to BAFA was only submitted in December 2017. Did I sign too early? What does that mean? Can this still be handled?

The contract with the general contractor or the heating company will be decisive.
Who filled out the application, including the heating type, etc.?

Ok, so you mean it doesn’t matter when I signed with the drilling company, BAFA only looks at the main contract or the contract with the heating company?
The heating company completed the application, but I think they don’t really know the details; I have done most of that myself.

And was the contract signed with Bafa beforehand?
