I want to cover a concrete wall in my garden with natural stones that were collected locally. They are about 1-3 cm (0.4-1.2 inches) thick and roughly the size of a palm.
What would be the best way to proceed? I think the main challenge is the very irregular shape and surface of the stones.

I would (layman's opinion) use tile adhesive. Possibly pre-treat the concrete wall as well.
