We are looking for a fireplace builder to install or build a fireplace for us.
The problem is that most sellers want to offer us a fireplace with at least 8 kW.
I have done some research, and a fireplace in a KfW house should have a maximum output of 4 kW.
It will only be used on weekends for a cozy atmosphere, maybe with a glass of wine.
Our main heating system will be a ground source heat pump.
Does anyone have recommendations for manufacturers or know any companies in the Rhine-Main area?

PS: Currently, the offers range from €5,500 to €20,000.
We want to spend a maximum of €7,000 for either a masonry fireplace or a kit.

camina s15? It has 9 kW! You would almost suffocate with that in a KfW 55 house.

@cumpa: We even have one with 11 kW (Varia FD-4S RLU) and approximately KfW55. Nobody is going to freeze quickly with that! It is brick-built and stores a bit of heat, but it’s definitely not going to turn the sauna into one.

In my KfW70 house, a fireplace with 9 kW heat output would still keep it warm even at -55°C (-67°F).

Hmm, we are not talking about a main heating system... but rather about some coziness for 3-4 hours in the evening on weekends... So far, I have not found any heating inserts with 4 kW that can be built into a wall or installed using prefabricated installation kits...
