ᐅ Experiences with rolled lead flashing for chimney sealing?

I commissioned a roofing company to fix leaking chimneys because the seals had rotted. Now the roofer charged me for 10 meters (33 feet) of rolled lead sheet (I would have expected the invoice to state square meters). He wants 828.00 EUR for the 10 meters, plus various other charges. Considering that the chimneys measure approximately 50.0 cm by 50.0 cm (20 inches by 20 inches) each and there are three of them, I’m wondering where he used 10 meters of rolled lead sheet?!

Seatdriver8730 Apr 2013 07:19Oh, I almost forgot one more thing: the third chimney was only built halfway because the other half belongs to the neighbor.
