Hi, I’m looking for experiences with a paint sprayer system.

Since we want to prime the entire house after the interior fine plaster finish and also need to paint our old apartment before handing it over, I thought about using a paint sprayer system.

I’m interested in hearing about experiences. Are the costs worth it? Can you really work better/faster with it than with the usual roller? Which systems are recommended?
Is it better to buy or rent a good one from a professional?

For priming the walls and ceilings, I used a Gloria garden sprayer.
WARNING: Make sure to carefully mask windows and other items, and immediately wash them off afterward as a precaution.
Of course, clean the sprayer thoroughly after use as well.

I definitely wouldn’t want to apply paint to the wall using something like this, since quite a bit ended up on the floor.
I would say using a brush and roller is much cleaner, easier, and faster.

The painters I know also all work with brush and roller.

We plastered the entire interior of the house using Knauf EasyPutz with a 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) grain size applied with a Wagner 867 spray system.

My wife was so enthusiastic about it that she did almost everything by herself.

We applied the primer with a brush.

I would definitely say that it's worth it, as it saves a tremendous amount of work and you can even rent these things.
