Hey, we’re planning to buy our own house soon, and it should be energy-efficient. We found information about prefab houses online and are wondering if these houses really offer low energy consumption or if it’s just a rip-off. Has anyone here had any experience with them or knows people who actually own such a house?

I would be very grateful for a prompt reply 🙂

Best regards, Nancy 🙂

This is an old topic. Sorry for bringing it up again here. I am also interested in this question. What is the current state of the art in this regard?

Thank you

In relation to what exactly? The topic is too broad to cover all aspects of energy efficiency in a single post, especially since there are various discussions on this subject here and elsewhere.

There is a minimum standard that must be met, which has increased over recent years.

Beyond that, it is of course possible to do more, up to a house that essentially requires no external energy. This naturally involves additional costs.

For existing properties, you need to consider the year of construction as well as the standards and their implementation that were applicable at that time.
