Hello everyone,

I am currently planning to install a Caterva Solar system (21 kW battery storage) for my new single-family house, which also provides grid balancing services through Caterva.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any results using the search function, so I would like to know if anyone here has experience with this or has received advice on it?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Right, E3/DC would be the alternative. Why not Caterva after all? No trust in the company or the 1000.- per year fee? It just doesn’t offer cloud services... Are you buying through Klarsolar? Price?

I’m not the original poster, so Caterva was never an option for us. I just wanted to say that we chose E3/DC because, for me, it was simply the most convincing product. We paid €12,500 for the E3/DC.

The description sounds good, with a 15 kW inverter and a 10 kWh battery. However, there is no cloud option to use the additional power both in summer and winter. For that, a solar community might be suitable. What do you think about that?

What battery size, 10 kWh or smaller... with backup power in case of grid failure?

Battery size 10.56 kWh with backup power

Nothing. That’s a 20-year prepaid tariff, and an expensive one at that. Avoid it.

The E3/DC system isn’t bad. At least you can update the software to improve the poor charge management (see the well-known forum). Unfortunately, many storage systems suffer from poor software. The so-called savior Tesla, for example, has Powerwalls that are simply outdated. Others are far more advanced.
