Hello, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask. I have an urgent question. We have been living in our newly built house for six months. We have brick cladding on the exterior, including expansion joints. However, our expansion joints are still not sealed. Is that a problem? What is the purpose of sealing them? Is it just for appearance?
Best regards, Lisa

However, I would still have it done soon. It can be quickly completed with compressible foam tape. You can also create a PU joint, which might be somewhat more "premium," but about twice as expensive.
