tinchen2836 Nov 2012 15:47Hello everyone,
While searching for an answer to my question, I came across this forum. I hope to find a solution here. 😉
I am currently planning the new kitchen for our house. I would like to install two horizontal wall cabinets stacked one above the other, either four 70cm (28 inches) wide or three 92cm (36 inches) wide—I haven’t decided yet. I also want to place them above the stove. Since we want the LUFTIG BF570 range hood, my question is whether it can be installed inside a horizontal wall cabinet?
I don’t think there should be any issues. Does anyone have experience with this or reasons for or against it? Height shouldn’t be a problem, since there is also a 35cm (14 inches) high hood cabinet available.
Thanks very much for your comments and suggestions! 🙂
Best regards, Tina

IKEA-Experte7 Nov 2012 22:14No, that’s not possible. The hood must be installed in a 60 cm (24 inch) wide cabinet. If it is possible at all, it would require a lot of modifications, because the unit’s mounting system needs side walls spaced 56 cm (22 inches) apart.
