...yes, I know this is a construction forum. And I don’t want to prepare that soy stuff in the new house anyway. But are there perhaps enthusiastic vegetarian hobby cooks who know how to handle it? I tried it, and it tasted exactly as it looked—sad, sad.
I find it very practical that we will be traveling light without refrigeration during the summer. Can anyone manage it?

Best regards

I tried it out and thought it was quite good. Of course, it’s not meat. Soy granules need to be soaked, then well squeezed out and used as ground meat. I made lasagna and seasoned the soy mince well with beef broth, in addition to thyme, paprika, and other spices.

Either over-season it or it tastes exactly like it looks.
Why do you want to take that stuff with you?
What are you planning to do?

I once tried soy granules, but I didn’t find them very good.

But they are good for storage... and don’t expect any grilled meat flavor at all.

I read "sofa" and thought WTF... whatever

I can recommend the next-level hack from Lidl, it really tastes very good.
