ᐅ Door handles in brass, bronze, and copper

Hello,

we still need to choose door handles for the new build.
Most door handles and hinges are silver, stainless steel, chrome, or aluminum in color and/or material.
I would like something with a warmer tone.

Does anyone have experience with door handles made of brass or bronze?
Polished brass looks a bit too bright or gold-colored to me, but maybe it darkens naturally over time?
Some of these metals are also patinated, lacquered, or waxed... I’m not familiar with those processes. Could some of these treatments possibly pose health concerns?

I’m also happy to receive recommendations for specific door handle models or companies. (Is that allowed here?)

Yes, I already see some in brass. "Ultra brass" 😀 I haven’t figured out what that means yet.
Do you have brass handles from them yourselves?
