ᐅ Differences in BWT Water Softening Systems

Hello everyone,

does anyone have experience with BWT water softening systems?

I’m a bit overwhelmed.
Specifically, it’s about the BWT Perla.

Is there a difference between the BWT Perla offered in hardware stores and the BWT Perla available on the BWT website?

There is quite a significant price difference.
Hardware store: around 2800€
BWT website: around 5000€

Maybe someone from the plumbing sector can explain the price differences?
Is the one in the hardware stores just an older model, or are there other differences as well?

It would be very helpful.

The price from BWT seems too high to me; you can’t easily order it online anyway. Maybe the price includes installation and commissioning, but there’s no clear information. You should request a quote. At least the product number is the same.
The price at the hardware stores around 2.8 seems more reasonable than the 5.

I just received an offer from a plumber friend for 3,000€ plus VAT.

But are there technical differences? Do you know anything about that?

As I said, the product number is the same. Whether BWT includes any additional accessories or services, I can’t see in my crystal ball right now.
