Hello everyone,
We are planning to build a house soon, probably using hollow brick walls with a thickness of 36.5 cm (14.4 inches). The construction company recommended installing a Lunos ventilation system without heat recovery. However, many other companies use ventilation systems with heat recovery. That’s why we are uncertain. Is it financially worthwhile to invest in a ventilation system with heat recovery? Will the initial cost be recovered over time through savings on heating expenses? We will be installing an air-to-water heat pump with underfloor heating.
Thank you very much for your answers!
Best regards,
NainTrack

The additional cost for a decentralized ventilation system with heat recovery is about 4000 € (approximately 4,320 USD). Now we want to calculate roughly when we will get this investment back. Never – the surcharge for the ventilation without heat recovery is really exaggerated. For less money, you can purchase all the equipment with heat recovery for your entire house.
