Hello,
I have a question: I live in a house from the 1980s. It is a Hebel house made of aerated concrete.
There is a relatively large damp spot in the basement.
Now I’m wondering: what is the best way to deal with this? No mold has developed so far. The room is always ventilated. You can see some efflorescence here and there. My moisture meter (bought from Amazon) shows between 22 and 40% depending on the spot.
The room itself was never fitted with a screed.
On the wall with the larger stains, there is an external staircase going down. Underneath, it seems very clayey.
I have uploaded some pictures. I would be very grateful if any expert here could share how they would handle this situation.
By the way, I have read several conflicting statements. Some say that you should not/cannot/seal aerated concrete from the inside using injection methods (???), while others actively offer exactly this service (for example, BKM Mannesmann).
How can I make a solid decision here?
